The Logs Are Here!

Our first load of logs arrived in April of 2012. Here are some pics of the logs being delivered and unloaded. Also some pics of our mill yard set up :)

This is were we peel the logs.

The bark ends that will be cut up for "sugar wood".... we will use this wood when we boil sap for Maple Syrup.

Brad will finish off these boards for lumber. We are going to end up with a lot of lumber since we are only using about half of the log. The rest of the log he is cutting up for lumber.

Some of the first logs that we cut and peeled. We still need to process these logs by planing and running the grooves through the top and bottom of the logs.

We got some really nice two by's.

Our second load of logs arrived a few days ago here in May. I will post more pics of our work in progress. That is, if I have time :)
