"H" is for Horse Week

For our unit study about Horses, we were able to go over to my neighbor, Alecia O'Donell's house. There she introduced us to her horse, Cookie. He is a retired race Horse. She did a Horse presentation and was able to teach the kids and I many things about Horses. From grooming to riding and everything in between. We were able to have a three day hands on learning experience and several of the children are going to be able to continue having riding lessons. What a great week of learning!

Each of the kids were handed a piece of paper for a specific assignment. Some of them were able to ride while others helped get the horse ready. Each day they got a different assignment, so that everyone got to ride eventually.
