CUTTS KIDS-2015

"I" is for Indian Study

We took two weeks for this unit study. We learned all about Indians and the many different kinds/tribes. And after a trip to the library we enjoyed reading and learning all about Indians. The children had fun reading about their ways of life, writing about them, drawing them, making many different Indian crafts, and especially playing Indians :) They enjoyed having their cousins here for a few days as well. We were planning on a field trip for this study but decided to do it in the spring/summer. Along with our other weekly projects, we learned a lot of new and exciting things this week. For snack time we enjoyed Ice Cream, Ice Cream pops, and Italian Ice :) Some of our favorite books this week were The Cherokee Indians, Geronimo, Crazy Horse, Squanto, and Pocahontas. The children also enjoyed watching "The Indian in the Cupboard." Here are some pictures. Enjoy!!!
